One of the last episodes of Supernatural?s sixth season really threw us a curve ball! Castiel is the one that raised Sam from Perdition?and without a soul?! Get the details behind ?The Man Who Would Be King? with our recap below.
The pieces of the puzzle were finally put together for us after most of the season has gone by! And now that the big picture has been revealed, I have to say, Supernatural dropped some big surprises in The Man Who Would Be King, that also raise alot of new questions to be answered! After finding out in last week?s episode that Crowley is still alive and kicking, Sam and Bobby are suspicious of Castiel while Dean, on the other hand, attempts to maintain his faith in the angel that has always come through for him.
Unfortunately though Cas has picked the wrong path no matter how strong and good his intentions are. In an episode that detailed a long talk with God, Cas sits on a bench and begs for direction throughout this latest 60 minutes, while the events play out in the background. This one really made me think of the entire season and how I missed Cas? switch to the dark side!
Wrapped up in the mission to beat out Rafael and stop an apocalypse, we see Cas make a deal with Crowley after Lucifer is sent back to his cage and Dean tries to enjoy his retirement from the hunt in a new life with Lisa and Ben. Out to beat the evil angel, Cas makes a deal with Crowley. The demon fronts him the souls, that garner plenty of power, and together they?ll find Purgatory.
But in a surprising twist, by the show?s end Cas is trapped in a ring of fire and finds himself the enemy of The Winchesters and Bobby. Nothing I ever exempted to see! Asking him all the hard questions, Dean is the one that finally tells Cas they are on to him after his Superman and Kryptonite slip up. They want to know why Cas has been spying on him ? ?only spies do that?! But Dean?s one liner was as humorous as it gets.
A huge episode from star to finish, The Man Who Would Be King, was a real eye opener and finally explained what has been happening this entire season with Eve, the monsters we?ve never seen, dropping a new bomb. How will of this go down? Will Dean help Cas? Will the Winchesters and Bobby catch up to Crowley? Why did Cas allow Crowley to recruit Sam and Dean mid season, making them work for Sam?s soul? How could Cas let this happen?
If anything tonight?s episode just left me with more questions! tell us what you think below!
