Dr. Dre ?I Need A Doctor? VIDEO Hits Web!

Dr. Dre?s ?I Need A Doctor? (video below) is the first major single to hit the web from his upcoming album called Detox. But will his dramatic return to the mic be as epic as The Chronic 2001?

Dr Dre

Fans were given a fleeting taste of Dre and Eminem on stage together again at this year?s Grammy Awards. The performance brought back memories of nearly a decade ago, and left us wondering if they could do it again. They delivered.

The eerie vocals of Skylar Grey whisk you away between verses, and give you the sense that the doctor?s return is something profound. The video perfectly captures the ethereal feel that the track offers up, and with that, Dre is back.

The official music video hit the web February 24th, and has so far received a welcome response from fans and critics alike.

It begins with a flashback sequence that depicts Dre lost in thought, pondering his time with NWA, losing Eazy-E, and the dramatic years alongside Tupac. From there, it cuts to him speeding down a California highway where he eventually loses control.

As Eminem looks down on his lifeless body, an angelic Skylar Grey floats above the scene for the opening chorus. Em?s passionate verses are delivered over the comatose producer, first at his bedside, then in front of a water tank that he is being treated in. As the lyrics grow in intensity, he begins to twitch as if coming back to life. The final verse, delivered by Dre, is done as he begins rehabilitation.

I must say, I was impressed during the Grammys, but this video is insanely good. I especially like the sequences that show Skylar floating around, flailing in mid-air.
