Angelina Jolie's obstetrician, Michel Sussmann, held a five-minute news conference Wednesday in Nice, France, to announce that the birth could be "in the weeks to come."
Apparently unaware that the stars are unmarried, the doctor said: "Mrs. Angelina Jolie and her husband, Mr. Brad Pitt, told me to tell you that she is doing absolutely fine."
The doctor said she would remain in the seaside hospital until the babies are delivered.
"I can't give you a date," he said, adding that Jolie's hospital visit was scheduled.
French medical secrecy laws are very strict, but Sussmann was able to say that four rooms and a pair of security guards had been set aside for the couple -- debunking rumors that they had taken over th entire fifth floor.
The show will go on
The actors' union and Broadway theater producers reached a tentative agreement on a new contract Wednesday, averting the possibility of a strike such as the one that shut down Broadway for almost three weeks in November.
The contract, which expires in September 2011, would increase the compensation package for actors by 11.25%
The contract must be reviewed by the Actors' Equity Association's governing body. If it is approved, it would be sent to members for a vote, which could take several weeks.

Pippa Middleton, sister of Princess Kate, was photographed sunbathing topless on a yacht in Ibiza. The photos were taken way back in 2006 when the sisters were spending their vacation in Spain with prince William, but were only disclosed this past week. Curious timing for certain?

Pippa is the younger sister of� Kate Middleton, and though she has been photographed taking champagne at all manner of promotional parties, Lost in Showbiz had been holding off drawing your attention to her until her media coverage had reached critical mass. Of course, critical mass was achieved moments after many believe she upstaged her fabulous sister by looking perfect at the royal wedding, where she was Kate?s maid of honor.
There are also topless photos (that, frankly, don?t show much) of her on the same yacht, but we are not going to be posting those trying to show a little respect for the poor girl?s dignity. After all she was out on the water on a boat with no idea she was being photographed.
The Middleton family said on Monday it intends to make a formal complaint against two newspapers that published the photos.
